This One or That One

This joint exhibition is formed by creators from the National Changhua University of Education, National Taiwan University of Arts, and Tunghai University Department of Fine Arts. Taking "choice" as its core concept, it re-examines people's psychological states and implicit frameworks when facing choices in daily life through forms such as painting, installation, and mixed media. The works also start from seemingly minor choices in life, such as interpersonal relationships, habits, identities, and behavioral patterns, extending to the relationship between the individual and society. The works in the exhibition intertwine with each other, using collisions and dialogues of different thoughts and positions, and through the transformation of people, objects, space, and interactive installations, express states of hesitation, contradiction, ambiguity, and tension. They also respond to the unease and confusion of contemporary people amidst multiple options. "This One or That One" also invites everyone to reconsider what choice ultimately means to oneself behind each decision.
