The Rhythm of Color and Line - Mingjian Township Zhuoshui Village Women's University Chang Ching-yueh Teacher-Student Joint Exhibition
Opening Ceremony: July 11 (Sat) 10:00
In 2007, a seed of art was gently planted in Nantou's Mingjian Township. Under the careful guidance of teacher Chang Ching-yueh (張景岳), the "Mingjian Women's University Chinese Painting Class" has now entered its twentieth year. Every student here, during the day, rushes about in their respective professional fields—in the fields, in the workplace, at home—each busy with life, whether as a wife, a mother, or a professional. However, when they pick up their brushes and face the rice paper, the world stops at the tip of the brush. The students blend their insights into life—whether green mountains and clear waters, flowers, birds, insects, and animals, or rural fields—into the dry, wet, thick, and light nuances of ink wash.
