Taichung City Confucius Temple has long promoted traditional Six Arts culture and is dedicated to implementing life aesthetics, deeply loved by citizens. From May 15 to July 10, 2026, the "The Beauty of Ritual Use" calligraphy achievement exhibition will be grandly held in the temple's cloister, gathering the fruitful learning outcomes of the "Adult Calligraphy Class" teachers and students. Citizens and friends are sincerely invited to come and experience the profound depth of Chinese character art and the gentle grace of Confucian culture.

This exhibition takes "The Beauty of Ritual Use" as its theme, with profound meaning. As stated in "The Analects": "In the practice of ritual, harmony is prized." Calligraphy is not only a display of technique but also a process of self-cultivation and practicing the beauty of life. Students integrate the harmonious spirit of "ritual" into the dots and strokes, perfectly interpreting the fusion of traditional ritual and music culture with Chinese character aesthetics through the density of ink and the rhythm of brushwork.

Under the careful guidance of Adult Calligraphy Class teacher Wu Chun-hui (吳春惠), students immerse themselves in the world of brush and ink, exploring the structure and spirit of characters through various script styles such as seal, clerical, regular, running, and cursive. Teacher Wu emphasizes cultivating the mind through the way of calligraphy; while wielding the brush, students not only practice writing but also transform daily insights and classic phrases into chapters leaping off the paper. The exhibited works feature a steady and grand style, with every stroke revealing the students' mature artistic cultivation and depth of life.

The works on display are diverse in form and rich in content, representing not only the students' skills but also a dialogue between the soul and art. Strolling through the ancient-style cloister of the Confucius Temple and appreciating calligraphy works full of emotion and story, visitors can not only feel the beauty of traditional architecture but also immerse themselves in a tranquil and profound artistic atmosphere, experiencing the peace and joy found in the tip of the brush and the color of ink.
