The 44th Glue Color Painting Exhibition of the Taiwan Glue Color Painting Association (台灣膠彩畫協會)
The Taiwan Glue Color Painting Association was initiated by senior artists such as Lin Yu-shan (林玉山), Chen Chin (陳進), Lin Chih-chu (林之助), Hsu Shen-chou (許深州), and Tsai Tsao-ju (蔡草如). It was established in Taichung in 1981 as the Taiwan Provincial Glue Color Painting Association, dedicated to promoting glue color art, advancing the characteristics of Eastern media, and encouraging creation and innovation. Lin Chih-chu served as the first chairman. Since 1982, annual exhibitions have been held continuously, with successive chairmen driving the effort to sustain and deepen glue color art. Currently, Lin Chun-hung (林春宏) serves as the 15th chairman. This year, many young new members have joined, injecting fresh vitality into the overall exhibition and showcasing a thriving scene of generational传承. The association now has over a hundred members. Through exhibitions, the public can appreciate the beauty of glue color painting, while continuously exploring line, color application, and spiritual essence, expanding local perspectives, showcasing Taichung's artistic characteristics, and creating a new Eastern elegance that blends tradition and contemporaneity.
