Taichung City Art Spotlight - "Against the Wind" Kao I-feng Memorial Exhibition

This exhibition unfolds through four sub-themes: "Art. Initial Exploration," "Unrestrained. Galloping," "Human World. Scenery," and "Quiet Observation. Myriad Phenomena." It traces from early Western-style paintings, including scenes of Taichung streets, rural and home life; to nostalgic remembrances and longing for the northern deserts, steeds, and Mongolian customs, expressing his capture of nature and movement through sketching and freehand brushwork; focusing on the everyday life of common people in reality, depicting the simple human warmth and genuine daily life of island society; and to meticulous observations of the everyday, transforming surrounding animals and plants into profound and tension-filled artistic images within refined brushstrokes. Following the flow of Teacher Kao I-feng's (高一峰) brush and ink, it pursues the resonance between art and life.
