Stratum of Remains — Life of Residents Somewhere
Artist MI-ZAI (咪仔) curates the special exhibition "Stratum of Remains — Life of Residents Somewhere" from the perspective of fictional archaeology. The exhibition is set in the future cat city "Nekopolis," narrating the journey of three protagonist cats as they explore ruins through documents and mysterious fragments.
The creator extends the characters' stories into physical space, using original picture book paintings, ceramic works, and imagined three-dimensional unearthed artifacts to vividly restore the utensils, stone tablets, and sacrificial remains of ancient cat civilization. These scattered fragments piece together the beliefs and daily life of cat culture, inviting viewers to become archaeologists, reimagining and exploring a fascinating world that never existed yet feels strangely familiar through layers of historical traces!
