Shangfeng Themed Book Exhibitions (4 Exhibitions in June)
[SDGs Picture Book Exhibition] Exhibited at the 1st floor entrance
"Through one picture book, see the diverse facets of the world; from one story, understand the true meaning of sustainability." This exhibition carefully selects excellent picture books from the "National Taiwan Library Sustainable Development Materials Reading Handbook" that align with the various themes of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering diverse issues such as environmental protection, ecological conservation, gender equality, and social care. Through easy-to-understand stories and rich imagery, it guides readers to recognize the importance of sustainable development. Through the reading journey of picture books, readers can not only feel the warmth of the stories but also further contemplate their connection to the world, practicing the concept of sustainability in daily life. The Shangfeng Branch invites children and adults alike to step into the world of picture books, broaden their horizons through reading, and let the seeds of sustainability sprout in their hearts.
[Reading Home Run - Reading & Active Living] Themed Book Exhibition
Exhibited at the 2nd floor central exhibition area
"Reading Home Run—Reading & Active Living" Themed Book Exhibition: This year's planning theme is "Reading & Active Living," organically combining reading and exercise to shape the public's "inner reading power" and "outer physical drive," allowing the stillness of reading and the activity of exercise to merge into the daily life of the public! Participating cooperative libraries should hold one session of the "Reading & Active Living" themed book exhibition during the event period; the exhibition content can refer to the recommended book list provided by the National Library of Public Information (see Attachment 1) for display, or each library can plan its own exhibition of sports-related books based on its collection resources. Additionally, it can be combined with CTBC Bank-provided CTBC Brothers-related exhibits to enhance the overall layout and display of the themed book exhibition, thereby increasing the richness and appeal of the event.
[Listen! The Heartbeat of the Sea] Book Exhibition
Exhibited at the 1st floor parent-child exhibition area
In response to World Oceans Day on June 8th and in conjunction with the "Ocean Children's Drawing—Children's Drawing Competition" held by Okuma Fishing Pier, the Shangfeng Branch specially presents the "Listen! The Heartbeat of the Sea" themed book exhibition in the first-floor parent-child reading area.
This book exhibition carefully selects picture books and children's literature on themes such as marine ecology, marine conservation, marine culture, and marine adventures, leading children and adults to understand the rich diversity of the marine world and appreciate the wonder and preciousness of marine life. Through reading, it cultivates awareness of caring for the marine environment and learning the important value of coexisting and co-prospering with nature.
We sincerely invite parent-child readers to step into the sea of books together, listen to the heartbeat of the sea, and explore the infinite charm of the blue ocean.
[We Live Together Environment & Ecology] Book Exhibition
Exhibited at the 2nd floor Photosynthesis Reading Exhibition Area
The Shangfeng Branch is Taichung City's first library themed around "Environmental Education." This time, it specially plans the [We Live Together Environment & Ecology] book exhibition, selecting excellent books related to themes such as Earth's ecology, climate change, sustainable development, and environmental action. We invite you to step into the Shangfeng Branch, listen to the voice of the Earth, and feel the power of human-nature coexistence!
Furthermore, this month also features a simultaneous exhibition of books related to the United Nations' **SDGs Sustainable Development Goals (Goals 5–6). Let's start with reading to understand sustainability, practice sustainability, and jointly move towards the 2050 sustainability vision!
