"Reading Home Run, Reading Moves Life" Themed Book Exhibition & Book Reading for Baseball Tickets
To encourage the public to cultivate reading habits and enhance their passion for baseball, the National Library of Public Information has joined hands with CTBC Bank and the CTBC Brothers Professional Baseball Team to jointly promote the "Reading Home Run" activity, which combines reading and baseball elements. Through the innovative method of "exchanging good books for tickets," and by linking resources from public libraries nationwide and online bookstores, the activity has entered its 11th year since its launch in 2016, attracting over one million cumulative participants. This project uses "Reading x Baseball" as a medium, combining the spirit of reading and baseball, not only to promote a national reading atmosphere but also to convey the core values of pursuing dreams and persevering, deepening the public's recognition and emotional connection to the spirit of sports.
Three libraries in Nantou County are participating in the activity: the Tsautun Township Library, the Puli Township Library, and the Shuili Township Library. From June 2nd to July 12th, they will jointly host the "Reading Home Run, Reading Moves Life" themed book exhibition and book reading for baseball tickets. The public is welcome to actively participate in the "Reading Home Run" mission!
"Reading Home Run" Mission:
1. During the event period, borrow 10 books in a single transaction using your own library card at a participating library (cannot be split or accumulated across transactions) to complete the activity verification.
2. Before redeeming or on-site, fill out the online activity questionnaire and complete a reading reflection of 50 words or more. At the redemption counter, present the "Form Reply Receipt" email (screenshots are not accepted for verification). Library staff will confirm that the redeemer's name matches the name on the questionnaire.
3. After completing the above steps, you can redeem one CTBC Brothers weekday home game electronic ticket voucher (limited to one per person). This voucher is a "ticket exchange voucher"; you must complete the exchange procedure to obtain the official ticket before admission. The exchange method must follow the relevant regulations of the CTBC Brothers ticketing website.
Notes:
1. This event exclusively uses electronic tickets (participants must bear a NT$20 system handling fee, and seat selection is available in advance). For related procedures, please refer to the instructions at https://event.nlpi.edu.tw/HRreading2026
2. Before going to redeem, you can check the opening hours, redemption quantities, and relevant regulations of each participating library.
3. The organizer reserves the right to adjust and change the event details. The latest announcements on the official event website shall prevail.
