"Pursuing the Realm of Print Art" – Chen Yung-chin Printmaking Exhibition
Woodcut printmaking is an art form with a long history, inheriting tradition while continuously infusing new vitality. In terms of composition, Chen Yung-chin's (陳永欽) exhibition encourages positive life force, creating upward lines that metaphorize endless regeneration. In terms of technique, the carving knife lines are delicate, bold, and the forms are simplified. In terms of color, rich colors and strong contrasts are used, summarizing the creative style and contextual presentation. The exhibition features three series: "Imagery – Thoughts and Contemplations of the Inner World," "Representational – Forms Seen and Heard," and "Printed New Year Paintings." The techniques include woodcut prints (relief), copperplate prints (intaglio), and silk screen prints (stencil), with an expected 61 works.
