"Profusion of Flowers" – Chien Wei-hung Solo Exhibition

Chien Wei-hung (簡維宏) graduated from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts at National Taichung University of Education in 2018 and held his first solo exhibition at the Dadun Cultural Center. In 2019, he went to Japan for further studies, obtained his Doctor of Arts degree in 2025, and is now engaged in Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) creation and exhibitions in Japan and Taiwan. This exhibition takes "Profusion of Flowers" as its theme, presenting the passage of time and the accumulation of emotions by depicting the process of plants blooming and withering. The works, with delicate brushstrokes and interwoven colors, showcase the fragility and resilience of life and explore the diverse possibilities of Nihonga in contemporary expression. This is his first solo exhibition after returning to Taiwan, hoping to bring viewers a fresh perspective and feeling.
