Nantou County Traditional Crafts and Traditional Performing Arts Promotion Exhibition Plan for 2025-2026 - Hearing the Artisan's Voice, Seeing the Traditional Art: Ceramics Chapter — Clay Tales of Nantou, Art Building Life Chapter
This exhibition specially invites three heavyweight craft preservationists, Tseng Shu-chih (曾樹枝), Lin Ching-ho (林清河), and Lin Kuo-lung (林國隆), to jointly exhibit. Through 28 exquisite works, they tell the public about the charm of craftsmanship spanning over a century.
Century-Old Craft Heritage, Three Masters Perform Together
This exhibition takes "Art Building Life" as its core, with the three masters showcasing different facets of ceramic achievements:
Master Tseng Shu-chih: With over sixty years of inheritance, he is proficient in the highly difficult hand-pinching technique, exhibiting representative works such as "Guan Yin Vase" and "Dragon Jar" with exquisite applique techniques.
Teacher Lin Ching-ho: The third-generation head of Tien Hsing Kiln, dedicated to preserving wood-firing techniques and snake kiln culture. His work "Flowers of Wealth and Honor Blooming" combines bamboo charcoal ceramic technology, showcasing a沉稳 introverted texture.
Teacher Lin Kuo-lung: The third-generation kiln owner of Shuili Snake Kiln, actively promoting the revitalization of ancient kilns. He exhibits works such as "Tiger Plate" and "Grass of Life," showcasing the fusion of traditional Nantou ceramics with modern aesthetics.
Ceramic art is not only art but also an aesthetic that builds life. Through this special exhibition, we hope to allow more people to enter the world of Nantou ceramics.
