Nantou County Artists Archive 2026 Artist-in-Residence Series Activities - Thematic Exhibition: "Realm of Crowned Art — Chen Chiung-ju Creative Exhibition" (冠藝之境—陳瓊茹創作展)
To promote the appreciation of fine arts and foster local artistic innovation and development, the Nantou County Government Cultural Affairs Bureau organizes the "Nantou County Artists Archive 2026 Artist-in-Residence" activity, hoping to invigorate local cultural and artistic atmosphere through artist residencies. The "Nantou County Artists Archive" (南投縣藝術家資料館) is a comprehensive cultural facility repurposed from the Wu-teh Hall (武德殿) and surrounding historic buildings, and is registered as a historic site.
This year's resident artist is Ms. Chen Chiung-ju (陳瓊茹), who carries out the residency project titled "Form as Vessel: The Co-construction of Ceramics and Other Materials" (載物之形:陶瓷與異材質的共構), and organizes the thematic exhibition "Realm of Crowned Art — Chen Chiung-ju Creative Exhibition" (冠藝之境—陳瓊茹創作展), promotional activities, and creative demonstrations. Ms. Chen Chiung-ju was born in Nantou. She graduated from the Graduate Institute of Creative Life Design at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (國立雲林科技大學). She is the founding president of the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute Formosa Ceramics Research Association (國立臺灣工藝研究所福爾摩沙陶瓷研究會). She has served as the secretary-general of the Nantou County Ceramic Art Association (南投縣陶藝學會), a lecturer in the professional ceramic talent cultivation program at the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center (國立臺灣工藝研究發展中心), and has been selected in the Taiwan Craft Competition, shortlisted for the 41st L'Alcora International Ceramics Competition in Spain, and received the Excellent Award/Selection in the Taiwan New Ceramics Award for Innovative Ceramic Studios. She has also held numerous solo and group exhibitions.
