Loyalty and Love Transmitting Art, The Ever-Flowing Ching Stream · 115th Year National New Literature and Art Society Joint Exhibition (忠愛傳藝 青溪長流‧115年全國新文藝學會聯展)

Looking back at the history of art development in Taiwan, the Taichung City Ching Stream New Literature and Art Society (臺中市青溪新文藝學會) occupies a very special historical position. In 1976 (Republic Year 65), in response to the "New Literature and Art Movement" promoted by the Ministry of National Defense, art and cultural elites from across the country were gathered to establish the "Republic of China Ching Stream New Literature and Art Society" (Headquarters). The society took the lead in establishing a branch in Taichung in June of the same year, becoming a pioneer in Taiwan's art scene. After fifty years of selection through the seasons, the society was formally legalized as an independent organization in 1991 (Republic Year 80), successfully transforming from an early system with a "combination of civil and military" character into a civil force with artistic professionalism and autonomy. This evolution is not merely a change in the organization's name, but also symbolizes how the society, amidst the currents of the times, transformed its original robust spirit into profound humanistic depth, steadily holding a leading position in the artistic development of various counties and cities. Entering the mid-to-late 2020s, the society's transformation has become more pronounced. It has evolved from a pure "literary and artistic creation group" into a highly mature "diverse public welfare art organization." Actively breaking down artistic barriers, it has proactively entered grassroots communities and the military system, promoting touring calligraphy and painting exhibitions. Through warm interactive models such as "live brushwork" and "parent-child calligraphy and painting experiences," it transforms lofty artistic ideals into a social force that comforts the soul. Currently, the artist lineup of the Taichung City Ching Stream New Literature and Art Society spans generations, with works covering calligraphy, painting, seal carving, photography, and three-dimensional creation. This inclusive artistic expression not only guards the flame of traditional literati aesthetics but also, in the era of digital transformation, constructs an aesthetic bridge connecting the past and the future through the tactile warmth of the creators.
