Island Light: A Tour of Taiwanese Scenery and Figures - 2026 Happy Painting Society Creative Joint Exhibition

On this island surrounded by the ocean, every landscape has a story behind it, and every person carries the memory of the land. 'Island Light' is a cultural tour from mountains and forests to coasts, from cities to countryside. Hence, we named it 'Island Light: A Tour of Taiwanese Scenery and Figures - 2026 Happy Painting Society Creative Joint Exhibition.' We formally invite you to follow the clues of the wind and see the spirit and light of Taiwan.
The Hsinchu City Happy Painting Society was founded in 2003 by a group of adults learning painting under teacher Liu Mu-lin. It has been 21 years in a flash. During this time, they have exhibited at Hsinchu Spring Gallery, Hsinchu Cultural Affairs Bureau, Taoyuan Far Eastern Department Store New Concept Store, Taoyuan County Cultural Affairs Bureau, Hsiao Ju-sung Art Village, Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf Hu Shui Yi Fang Exhibition Hall, National Taitung Living Arts Center, and other venues.
The president, Li Yu-lin, was born in Tsao-tun, Nantou. She specially leads the Hsinchu Happy Painting Society and Taitung painters to hold this joint exhibition in Nantou, aiming to give back to the local community. Our painting society includes gold medal winners of various national art competitions. We hope everyone can stop and savor, experiencing the emotions and stories carried by each painting.
We sincerely invite you to attend our exhibition, to jointly explore the poetry and spirit of this land, and to appreciate the beauty of creations that gather the efforts of countless painters.
Opening Ceremony: May 9 (Sat) 14:00. On that day, artist Liu Mu-lin will perform live calligraphy/painting, and free oil painting tote bags provided by Taitung Yu-chuan Gallery will be given away.
