Flames and Ship Tales - Underwater Cultural Heritage Special Exhibition

Since 2021, the Cultural Heritage Bureau has collaborated with the #National Science and Technology Museum to organize special exhibitions "Hidden Water, Seeking Fun" and "Exploring Taiwan Underwater." This year, they have teamed up again to launch the third collaborative special exhibition "Flames and Ship Tales - Underwater Cultural Heritage Special Exhibition." This special exhibition has been touring at the National Science and Technology Museum and the Kinmen Historical Folk Museum, attracting 60,000 visitors. The third stop returns to the Ministry of Culture Cultural Heritage Park, bringing a deeper and more substantial story of underwater cultural heritage and a diverse, vivid exhibition experience to the people of Taichung.
This special exhibition takes "War and Shipwrecks" as its main theme, guiding you into a time tunnel, diving into the seabed, and traversing historical scenes!

A sneak peek at the four major themed exhibition areas:
Taiwan's Maritime War History | Ground interactive projection, witnessing naval battle scenes from the Ming and Qing dynasties to World War II
Taiwan's Shipwreck Stories | Immersive theater paired with thrilling shooting experiences, recreating the 1944 "Taiwan Air Battle," experiencing the moment of ship sinking firsthand
Flames of Memory | First-time exposure of war shipwreck artifacts recovered from the water, paired with 3D interaction to understand the stories of recovered artifacts, completing artifact restoration missions
Protection and Sustainability | Learn about Taiwan's important registered shipwreck sites and understand Taiwan's rich underwater cultural heritage in its maritime areas.
