Chronology on Leaves - Yen Wen-shuo (嚴玟鑠) Solo Exhibition

This exhibition takes "Chronology on Leaves" as its theme. The creative concept uses plants as the core imagery, with leaves becoming vessels that carry time. Through their forms and textures, one perceives the subtle yet continuous flow of life. The primary medium is acrylic paint, utilizing its properties of layering and quick drying. Through repeated covering and permeation, the accumulation and transformation of color are formed. Colors, in the blurring of layers and boundaries, leave uneven and mottled traces, as if time gently etches the surface, presenting the aura of temporal sedimentation. Influenced by wabi-sabi aesthetics, the works do not pursue perfection or splendor but seek balance and tranquility within imperfection. Through repeated depiction, the images retain a quiet and restrained power. Within the broken, the marked, and the blank spaces, one sees the flow of time and responds to the deep and authentic sense of existence in life. Everyone is welcome to come and appreciate the wonder of time as it changes through the leaves across the four seasons.
