Chingshui Military Dependents' Village: Farewell to the Homeland and the Otherland

Date: 2026-03-07 — 2026-06-28 Organizer: 港區藝術中心
The exhibition "Chingshui Military Dependents' Village: Farewell to the Homeland and the Otherland" not only uses text to sort out the collective memories of the seven major military dependents' villages in the Chingshui area of Taichung. The exhibition will also delve into the unique characteristics of each settlement born from military missions and present the shared fate of each village in the face of the wave of reconstruction. To accompany the exhibition introduction, old photographs and artifacts from the villages' past will also be displayed, hoping to allow visitors to feel as if they are walking through a time tunnel, experiencing the life trajectory of the military dependents' villages.

In addition, the exhibition specially features an "There is a Kind of Military Village Spirit" interactive wall. Through the "Youth Twelve Rules Puzzle Challenge" activity, serious moral norms are transformed into a fun participatory experience.
