Chiang Hsun (蔣勳) Exhibition: "Jetavana (祇樹給孤獨園)"
Chiang Hsun (蔣勳) specially created the oil painting "Jetavana (衹園給孤獨園)" based on the story from the Diamond Sutra where the Buddha expounds Buddhist scriptures at "Jetavana." Metalwork artist Tseng Yung-ling (曾永玲) uses a bowl container as a symbol of cultivation, with a heart growing flowers carved inside the bowl, symbolizing a world in a single flower. Artist Tung Cheng-lien's (董承濂) works are extremely intricate, using technology combined with handcraft, mirrors, lights, and supernatural movement to create various states of "all appearances are non-appearances." One piece, "The Dharma Wheel of Ego and Egolessness of the Eighty-Eight Auspicious Signs (八十八吉祥之我執與無我的法輪)," surrounded by countless mirror surfaces, allows viewers to sit within it, feeling the world of self, non-self, and the connection between one's inner being and all things.
