Artistic Journey in a Square Inch, Boundless Vistas: Seal Carving Joint Exhibition

Date: 2026-06-06 — 2026-07-02 Organizer: 林滄池師生
In 2015 (Year 104 of the Republic of China), Teacher Lin Ts'ang-ch'ih (林滄池) was honored with the 'National Art Exhibition Exemption from Review' recognition. Eager to give back to society with his knowledge, and as the Nantou Cultural Affairs Bureau also planned to promote high-quality traditional art, the 'Seal Carving and Seal Script Study Class' was thus established.
The students are mainly retirees, but there are also many young people engaged in cultural and creative industries. Over the years, under the teacher's guidance, they have gained a deeper understanding of carving techniques, seal script calligraphy, and ancient philology. And white hair has also arrived, belonging to the teacher, and even more so to the many students.
The Nantou area was originally a wasteland for seal carving. Over the past eleven years, due to the joint efforts of the teachers and students of the study class, it has become a thriving scene. We humbly present this teacher-student joint exhibition for the appraisal and guidance of esteemed experts from all fields.
