The connection between Nantou and lacquer art can be traced back to the Japanese colonial period, when a large number of lacquer trees were planted in the Nantou area, providing natural fertile soil for the development of lacquer craftsmanship and gradually gathering top craft talents. Nantou is the administrative region in Taiwan with the most complete preservation of lacquer art and the most abundant creative energy. This special exhibition brings together heavyweight lacquer art masters such as Huang Li-shu (黃麗淑) and Wang Hsien-min (王賢民) for a joint exhibition.
