"We Are the Brightest Stars in the Sky" does not tell us who is different, but rather hopes to let more people see how a child can shine. An-tsai (安仔), who has his own rhythm, is often misunderstood at school; only in the opera troupe is he allowed to have his own rhythm. The rise and fall of puppet manipulation and the beat of the spoken lines become his way of communicating with the world. This is not a story about changing a child, but a process of learning to understand. When we are willing to slow down, we will discover that every child has their own light.
