2026 New Ideas Lab: Chen Pin-jung (陳品蓉) × Ahi Karunaharan "The Mourning After" Work-in-Progress Showing

This performance, co-presented by director Chen Pin-jung (陳品蓉) and Sri Lankan-born playwright Ahi Karunaharan, is a phased result of the National Theater & Concert Hall's "Asian Playwrights Exchange Program," looking back at the impact of the tsunami and civil war on home. Through theatrical form, the work pieces together fading memories and landscapes, leading the audience to rediscover the form of "home" amidst historical ruins. It is an artistic experiment that crosses borders and delves deeply into diaspora and grief.
