The Color of Life - Wu Ting-hsien (吳丁賢) Solo Exhibition

The line is the purest language.
Artist Wu Ting-hsien (吳丁賢) intervenes on the canvas with a minimalist posture, allowing lines to breathe, rise, fall, and flow freely amidst vast empty spaces. He does not depict forms, yet within the formless, he outlines the most authentic rhythm of life—sometimes light, sometimes as quiet as a long pause.
Color is his background hue and also his state of mind. The tenderness of pink-gold and rose, the depth of blue-purple and charcoal black, narrate different moods in different compositions. Complexity lies beneath the surface, calmness rests on top, much like joy and melancholy are never truly separate.

That simplicity and lightness emerge only after layers of coverage and repeated sedimentation. As lines dance within, the color of life naturally develops.
