Musical "God's Convenience Store (神明便利商店)"

The Star Voice Chorus (星聲代合唱團) has been awarded as an outstanding performance troupe in this county for many consecutive years. They operate with dedication and are deeply rooted in the local community, actively exploring the possibilities of跨界融合 between music and theater. This year, with "family affection, tolerance, understanding, and love" as the core of creation, they convey sincere emotions through stage works, launching the choral theater concert "Grandpa's Shadow (阿公的跟屁蟲)." Adapted from the同名 picture book created by Audrey Yuan (奧黛莉圓) and published by CommonWealth Parenting (親子天下), the story focuses on the bond between grandparents and grandchildren, using a warm and delicate narrative to lead the audience to rediscover the precious meaning of companionship and growth. The first half will be presented in a traditional choral format, featuring selected classic choral pieces from around the world such as "Ave Maria for youth choir," "The Place Where I Lived as a Child (小時候住過的地方)," and "Farewell South of the City (城南送別)." Through a rich and diverse musical vocabulary, the audience is guided to experience the life stories and emotional landscapes contained in different cultures. Additionally, in collaboration with the Chung Hsing Elementary School Star Kids Children's Choir (中興國小星奇兒童合唱團) and the Star Voice Women's Choir (星聲代女聲合唱團), they will specially perform wonderful songs depicting hometown and land emotions, such as "The Mole Cricket Wants to Marry (蛄蠐欲嫁尪)" and "Grandma's Penghu Bay (外婆的澎湖灣)," sharing the memories and scenery of Penghu through pure and sincere voices. The second half, "Grandpa's Shadow (阿公的跟屁蟲)" choral theater, presents the picture book story through an interweaving of music, drama, and visual art.
