Learning from the Past, Creating the New, Co-writing Brilliance: 2026 Xi'an Stele Forest Cross-Strait Copying Calligraphy Exhibition – Nantou Station

[Using Stele Copying as a Theme to Promote Calligraphy Culture]
This exhibition has been held since 2021, adopting a format of collection in the first year and a touring exhibition in the following year. 2026 marks the third edition, featuring one hundred award-winning cross-strait copying calligraphy entries and twenty demonstration works by master calligraphers. Simultaneously, the Xi'an Stele Forest has specially selected and introduced a section on its famous stele collection.

In addition to the copying works, the Xi'an Stele Forest has specially selected and introduced ten major stele collections, including "Stone Platform Classic of Filial Piety," "Nestorian Stele," "Yan Family Temple Stele," "Cao Quan Stele," "Duobao Pagoda Stele," "Mysterious Stupa Stele," "Huangfu Dan Stele," and "Yan Qinli Stele." Among them, the "Wang Xizhi's 'Preface to the Sacred Teaching' Stele" is the only known complete rubbing from the Jin Dynasty before the stele cracked (a replica of the original rubbing), not to be missed.

[Rich Experience Activities, Creating a Diverse Appreciation Environment]
The exhibition hall features special installations such as character creation games, trait code spinners, Zhaoling Six Steeds restoration, stele inscription steel stamp bookmarks, and dry rubbing experiences, along with multiple cultural lectures and workshops. All are free to register, on a first-come, first-served basis.
