Gleaming Moments at Lin Family Garden (林園拾光): Traversing a Century of Splendor in an Ancient City and Famous Garden (穿越古城名園的百年風華)

The Lin Family Garden's (林園) new permanent exhibition "Gleaming Moments at Lin Family Garden (林園拾光): Traversing a Century of Splendor in an Ancient City and Famous Garden (穿越古城名園的百年風華)" officially opened on February 18, 2026!

"Gleaming Moments (拾光)" means picking up the light left by history, and it is also our process of continuously protecting cultural assets and making memories shine again.

This permanent exhibition starts from the founding history of Bangqiao (枋橋) Ancient City, taking you back to how the Banqiao Lin family (板橋林家) participated in and shaped the development trajectory of Greater Taipei, and then understanding the construction and development context of the Lin Family Mansion and Garden (林本源園邸). From the birth of the garden, its entry into the public eye, through restoration and preservation, to contemporary restoration and regeneration, as well as the promotion of cultural heritage preservation — rediscovering the century of symbiosis and co-prosperity between this famous garden and the city of Banqiao (板橋).
