Corridor Project: Derivative (2026)
This year's "Corridor Project" uses the two albums "Time Immersion" and "Tomorrow Sound" released by the Open Culture Foundation (OCF) as the screening program. It aims to use experimental music, video, and lighting as mediums within the space to provide audiences with different perceptions of time and space.
The 4th-floor corridor screens the album "Tomorrow Sound" created by the psychedelic band Meng Dong (夢東) and the new media art group XTRUX. The work reshapes a musical narrative style different from the original album by re-sampling and arranging "Time Immersion," combining folk sounds, West Asian music, and electronic synthesizers.
The 6th-floor corridor screens "Time Immersion" created by musician Lin Chiang (林強) and Italian artist Luca B. Nacorsi. Using ambient music and minimalist sonic language, the album depicts the contemporary landscape felt by the artists through an interwoven dialogue of video and sound.
Both albums are licensed under CC BY 4.0 by the Open Culture Foundation, encouraging the audience to freely download the albums and sample, transform, and distribute the works in different forms, allowing the music to continuously generate new derivatives in online circulation, thereby promoting the spirit of open source and internet freedom.
