2026 Craft Campus Roots Program -- Seed Teacher Cultivation Plan: Wool x Paper Fiber 3D Shaping Teacher Empowerment Workshop (Online registration opens July 1, 13:00)

Date: 2026-08-11 — 2026-08-14 Organizer: 潘瓊慧;林俞孜
To promote the integration of crafts into school education and foster the rooting of craft aesthetics on campus, this program cultivates school teachers to become seed teachers of crafts through teacher empowerment training courses. It is hoped that teachers will integrate craft techniques, aesthetics, and the spirit of craftsmanship into their teaching, inspiring student creativity and life perception. This allows the "Slow Happiness, Live Freely" craft time to flow through the campus like living water, nourishing the campus life environment, and collectively realizing the sustainable living concepts of "Living Crafts, Crafts Alive" and "Slow Living SLOHAS"! Let craft aesthetics enter the campus and open up the "Slow Happiness, Live Freely" campus life environment!
Taiwan has dense mountains and diverse ecology; this course focuses on the mountains and forests, using animal fiber—wool, and plant fiber—paper pulp to recreate our natural companions, learning to be humble observers in the process of depicting forest ecology. The wool felting course introduces two techniques: needle felting and wet felting, making small, tactile daily objects, getting to know this versatile fiber material, and training patience and concentration. The Chang Tzu (paper pulp doll) course uses fruit net bags and newspaper for shaping, collecting readily available materials to make simple, lightweight dolls full of blessings and childlike fun. By manipulating two different textures—soft and hard—we consider new possibilities for material use and course design, allowing creative imagination to find new paths across media.
