"The Narrator's Afternoon" Liang An-hsin (梁銨芯)
This concert takes "narration" as its core soul, performed jointly by flutist Li Ts'ai-ch'en (李采宸) and violinist Liang An-hsin (梁銨芯), with these two highly lyrical instruments serving as "storytellers." The repertoire background spans Baroque, Romantic, and modern musical schools. Through classic works traversing from the Baroque and Romantic periods to the 20th century near-modern era, it presents how music conveys human emotion, philosophy, and life stories under different temporal and spatial contexts.
The program begins with the violin solemnly performing Bach's "Violin Sonata No. 1: Adagio," followed by the flute presenting Nielsen's "Flute Concerto," the two reflecting each other. It then shifts into the Romantic period, selecting Tchaikovsky's "Valse-Scherzo" to add a华丽热情 color to the first half.
The second half opens with the flute performing Telemann's "Fantasia No. 7," echoing the Bach from the first half. It then enters 20th-century repertoire, including Prokofiev's vibrant "Violin Sonata No. 2" and Martin's highly dramatic flute "Ballade."
At the concert's conclusion, the two will collaborate on the "Prelude" and "Polka" from Shostakovich's Five Pieces, ending the performance perfectly with a light, humorous melody.
