"Melodious Strings, Art Blooms in Huatan" Huatan Elementary School Orchestra Achievement Show for the 114th Academic Year
In recent years, Huatan Elementary School has actively promoted an educational philosophy of diverse talent development. With the strong support of successive principals, local gentry, and current Principal Chan Hsueh-mei, student clubs have flourished, offering rich and diverse learning activities that stimulate students' varied potentials and confidence, showcasing the children's passion and dreams for art. Through continuously improving their performance skills, the school deepens art education on campus, realizing the goal of nurturing talent according to aptitude, so that every child can shine on stage.
Among them, the orchestra is one of the school's key characteristic clubs. For many years, it has actively participated in charity performances to give back to the community, with its footprint reaching venues such as nursing homes, the Tz'u-ai Educational Institute, and the Huatan Emergency Relief Association's Cold Weather Banquet for the Needy. It has also been frequently invited to perform at opening ceremonies for county government events, such as the Hushanyan Daylily Festival opening press conference, receiving high acclaim from all sectors. In addition to outstanding performance achievements, the orchestra has also repeatedly achieved excellent results in music competitions, bringing honor to the students, the school, and Changhua County: it has currently won the championship for elementary school Group B orchestra ensemble in the Changhua County Student Music Competition for eight consecutive years, earning the title "Eight-Time Champion"; and it has represented Changhua County in the National Student Music Competition, achieving the卓越 (zhuo yue) feat of four consecutive "Superior" ratings.
