Ta-tung Arts Library July 2026 Themed Book Exhibition

Date: 2026-07-01 — 2026-07-31 Organizer: 高雄市立圖書館大東藝術圖書館
1. "Urban Sketching" Themed Book Exhibition
Through displays in the exhibition area, library visitors can understand the diverse expressions of painting and art. Four local artists, Ko Kuang-ching (柯光慶), Li Chia-yen (李佳燕), Hsu Ying-cheng (許英正), and Huang Hui-chin (黃蕙琴), have been invited to conduct landscape sketches, showcasing the diversity of local scenery.

2. "Hands and Feet Dancing" Themed Book Exhibition
Learning about body awareness and sex education is an important foundation for children to understand their bodies and self-protection. Combined with understanding and reflection on sexual topics, it guides children to develop self-judgment skills, which then transforms into their ability to make choices regarding relationships with themselves and others.
This book exhibition selects various theme books on "body awareness," inviting parents to plan reading time with their children. Through shared reading, parents can lead children to understand their own bodies, explore and understand the boundaries of body safety, teach children how to protect their own body safety, and learn to respect others' physical boundaries.

3. "Collections Across Time" Periodical Exhibition
Between the pages, history and the present quietly intertwine and awaken; literati's treasures quietly narrate their elegance, and exotic gems circulate their brilliance. Open the legendary treasure vault of Ta-tung periodicals, let the beauty that pleases the eye inspire thoughts of distant journeys, and together witness the charm of the East and the beauty of culture in the flowing time.

4. "The Linearity and Abstraction of Writing" Themed Book Exhibition
From the lingering empty spaces and artistic conception of Eastern calligraphy to the lines and symbols of Western art, this exhibition shows you how writing transcends language to become a visual experience about time, body, and perception.
