From Formosa, Takao, Yancheng to Pier-2, from fishing and salt, sugar production, industry to arts and culture, the human history and core values of this coastal area are condensed into the Pier-2 "Old Tales Warehouse" through various creative methods.
A floor video unveils the history of Pier-2, taking us back to the small fishing village of Formosa three hundred years ago. In the spatial atmosphere of ocean currents, the development of Takao unfolds before our eyes through images blending the old and the new. Standing at Pier-2, overlooking the new bay, VR imagery offers a unique perspective on the past and present of Kaohsiung Port. Ascending to the mezzanine, follow the timeline to revisit the glory of Pier-2. A model theater crafted with light carving provides a visual experience of a day's highlights at Pier-2. In the memory display window, various objects collected since its establishment in 2002 are treasured, breaking the constraints of time and space to gather together: the first Pier-2 invitation card, the first Pier-2 T-shirt, scaled-down versions of the Pier-2 mascots, and other scenes, all concentrated here.
