Order, Dream, and Rhythm - Sun Chia-wei Classical Guitar Recital
This dreamlike journey travels from the rational structure of the Baroque period and the elegant balance of the Classical era, through the emotional flow of Romantic and nationalistic idioms, and finally extends into the unrestrained and vibrant rhythmic world of Latin American music.
Classical guitarist Sun Chia-wei (孫家偉), who holds a performance diploma from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in Paris, is currently the Chairman of the Taiwan Guitar Society. He is dedicated to promoting and educating in the art of classical guitar. He won third prize in the 2011 A.F.E.M. (Association France-Europe de Musique) Classical Guitar Competition in France and was a laureate in the 2012 French National Classical Guitar Competition. After returning to Taiwan, Sun Chia-wei has been active on the Taiwanese music scene for a long time, with a repertoire spanning Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Latin American music. Through lectures, concert planning, and interdisciplinary collaborations, he continues to expand the artistic boundaries and influence of the classical guitar.
