Neiwei Arts Center Inaugural Exhibition | Once within Borders

The "Neiwei Arts Center" is a new type of art center opening from Neiwei to the city. Through interaction with diverse artistic experiences, it initiates a new urban cultural paradigm of "Life as Art, Art as Life." In this venue, through community-oriented dialogic art, contemporary video and classic films, art restoration and diagnostics, and other functions, it develops a public living and aesthetic space for parent-child interaction and co-learning. Guided by the three spirits of "Crossing, Lightness, and Newness"—across domains, generations, and communities—it integrates various possibilities to realize a borderless artistic experience, opening up the imagination and practice of a new art life.

The inaugural exhibition, titled "Once within Borders," "unties the fences and welcomes Neiwei." Through a dialogue between history and the present, from the opening of cultural spaces, the reshaping of public domains, to a re-reading of the historical fabric of the local community, the Neiwei Arts Center will play a key role in "community stitching," forming a new urban landscape and cultural topography, and embracing a new vision of open connection. The inaugural exhibition is composed of three core curatorial concepts: "Dialogue between Art and Space," "Community Participatory Creation," and "Integration of Design Thinking." It attempts to define new possibilities for space through artworks, shaping new shared experiences for residents through diverse modes of art viewing and participation, integrating with the community environment and becoming part of citizens' lives.
