"Modern Hua Kang · Art Legacy"
The special exhibition "Modern Hua Kang · Art Legacy" for the 114 academic year at the Hua Kang Museum will be grandly launched on September 15. The exhibition brings together the profound heritage and vibrant strength of the university's art education over half a century within the context of Taiwan's art development, witnessing the inheritance and innovation of artistic spirit.
The exhibits cover more than ninety works, including those by the "Three Masters Who Crossed the Sea" Chang Ta-chien (張大千), Pu Hsin-yu (溥心畬), Huang Chun-pi (黃君璧) and their disciples; successive art teachers of the university such as: Sun To-tzu (孫多慈), Mo Ta-yuan (莫大元), Chen Tan-cheng (陳丹誠), Chiang I-han (姜一涵), Tseng Hou-hsi (曾后希), Lu Fo-ting (呂佛庭), Li Mei-shu (李梅樹), Ma Pai-shui (馬白水), Chin Chin-po (金勤伯), Wu Hsueh-jang (吳學讓), Shih Tzu-ch'en (史紫忱), Lang Ching-shan (郎靜山), Li Te (李德), Chiang Chao-shen (江兆申), Ou Hao-nien (歐豪年), Cheng Shan-hsi (鄭善禧), Hsu Kun-cheng (許坤成), Chou Che (周哲) and other professors; as well as outstanding alumni works like the "Twenty-Four Views of Hua Kang." Spanning diverse media such as Chinese and Western painting and photography, they showcase the legacy power and spirit of the times of Chinese Culture University's art education.
