Jui-shan at 85: The Zen of Calligraphy

This exhibition is the 85th Zen Calligraphy Exhibition by Chiang Jui-shan (蔣瑞山). Mr. Chiang, now 85 years old, began studying calligraphy under teacher Huang Hua-shan (黃華山) at the age of 70. Starting with copying as a foundation, his method of 'one mind, three uses' focuses attention on the lines, while the copying technique involves a stance like an archer's step, balancing left and right. He skillfully combines intangible Zen with the tangible writing brush, using his body to move the brush to write his true feelings, arising from a natural artistic conception. Both body and mind can freely express themselves smoothly, and the works naturally present a Zen quality. Welcome to view.
