Joy in Shared Creation: Cultural Root-Seeking Soka Art Print Collection Exhibition
Printmaking, using the "plate" as a medium for creation, is called an "indirect" art compared to other forms of direct depiction. The origin of printmaking can be traced back to the invention of printing. Due to its reproducible nature, it facilitated the spread of knowledge and promoted social development. Gradually, the artistic value of printmaking gained increasing recognition. Since the end of the 19th century, printmaking has become an independent mainstream form of modern artistic expression. Artists reflect their aesthetic perspectives through diverse media such as woodblock, metal plate, rubber plate, silk screen, and digital technology prints.
