"The Soloist's Dance" is a documentary about Lee Che-yang (李哲洋), a forgotten pioneer in Taiwanese music history. The film tells the story of this 'White Youth' of the 1950s, who overcame the repression of the era to become a trailblazer in the Taiwanese folk song collection movement. Through editing "Music Digest" and translating numerous works, he disseminated the wisdom and beauty of music to music lovers from the 1970s to the 1990s. Director Li Li-shao (李立劭) will lead the audience to revisit this solitary musician and his unique and profound life journey.
