Synopsis:
Barrister Lin Liang-shui (林涼水) is known for his sharp tongue. After switching from judge to lawyer, his first case involves a high-profile child abuse case that captures the city's attention. Eager to climb the social ladder, he carelessly allows the defendant, Tsang Kit-yee (曾潔兒), to be wrongfully imprisoned for 17 years. From then on, his reputation is ruined, and burdened by guilt, he can only offer cheap legal services to ordinary people to soothe his conscience. Two years later, new evidence suddenly emerges that could overturn Tsang Kit-yee's case, and he decides to file an appeal.
