First Miaoli Arts Writing Talent Training Workshop

Date: 2026-05-16 — 2026-08-30 Organizer: 鄒欣寧;陳品秀
Watching is a kind of distance; writing is an act of getting closer.
This summer, we invite you to cross the boundary between audience and creator, enter the core of the theater, and think, dialogue, and transform together with artists.
Free and open, but opportunities are rare. Because truly in-depth experiences are never plentiful.
For those living in Miaoli, have you noticed that hometown arts activities are like the earth's surface after the plum rains, with new sprouts constantly emerging year after year?
In this season of burgeoning artistic atmosphere, is your creative impulse also stirred, eager to transform your participation experiences into writing, both to express your personal views and to leave a valuable public record for the local performing arts ecology?
Sensing this budding passion, EX-Asia Theater, which has long cultivated local performing arts, is finally carefully launching the first "Miaoli Arts Writing Team" training series this year!
We specially invite senior Taiwanese theater writers to guide participants step-by-step, whether it's传授 "upgrading from a layman to understanding the intricacies" methods for watching plays, or practical exercises in different types of theater writing, or "how to combine your original interests and expertise to write unique local arts records."
Through indoor lectures, outdoor reading tours, and salon discussions after watching performances from the Miaoli Performing Arts [City Focus Series] [Shop Fringe Series],
This summer, we want you to immerse yourself together in the "Miaoli Arts Writing Team's" walking, looking, chatting, and writing, accompanying each other, and together writing a vibrant prologue for Miaoli's arts exhibition activities!
