Fengpitou Archaeological Site Permanent Exhibition

The Fengpitou Site in Linyuan, Kaohsiung, is one of the eleven national designated archaeological sites in Taiwan. Its rich, multi-cultural stratigraphic layers completely showcase the evolutionary process of prehistoric culture in southern Taiwan. In 2021, the Ministry of Culture commissioned the Kaohsiung City Government to establish the 'Fengpitou Archaeological Education Museum' to serve as a base for promoting education about the Fengpitou Site. After nearly a year and more of planning and construction, it opened to the public on February 24, 2023 (Year 112 of the Republic of China calendar). The exhibition space combines audiovisual information about the site with displays of unearthed artifacts to facilitate a deeper understanding of the tools and life wisdom of prehistoric humans.
