Century First Love – Yang Li-hua Taiwanese Opera Special Exhibition

Yang Li-hua (楊麗花) was born into a family of opera performers. She traveled with her mother's opera troupe from a young age, made her stage debut at age 7, and gained recognition at 16 with her performance in "Double-Spear Lu Wen-lung (雙槍陸文龍)." At 22, she joined the Cheng Sheng Tian Ma Radio Drama Troupe (正聲天馬廣播劇團), and the following year signed with TTV (Taiwan Television) to enter the field of television Taiwanese Opera. She also expanded into film and records, becoming a multi-faceted star. She excelled at playing male leads (sheng) in Taiwanese Opera. Her cross-dressing performances were handsome and her acting superb, making her the ideal projection of a handsome man in the hearts of a vast audience. Many viewers have had a "century first love" with Yang Li-hua.
This exhibition focuses on Yang Li-hua and Taiwanese Opera, displaying her precious audio-visual materials, photographs, performance costumes, television props, and sets. It also incorporates AI technology, allowing visitors to take photos with Yang Li-hua or perform alongside her, realizing their "dream of co-performing" with her.
