2026 Youth Art Exhibition "Intangible Land": The 115th Graduation Exhibition of the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Industries, National Taitung University

Date: 2026-05-29 — 2026-06-09 Organizer: 國立臺東大學美術產業學系第115級畢業生
The places we traverse are not always visible. Sensations, memories, dreams, and thoughts—these experiences that are difficult to name and impossible to measure weave our understanding and records of the world, also constituting an "intangible landscape." It does not exist on maps in the traditional sense but is deeply embedded in our consciousness, bodies, and neural networks.
This exhibition "Intangible Land" seeks to explore: How do we perceive those unnamed experiences? Do those places that cannot be precisely marked on a map, yet firmly occupy the core of our perception, also constitute another kind of "sense of place"? Artists, through the weaving of various media expressions, construct unknown yet compelling internal landscapes. These works not only summon personal memory fragments and emotional traces but also respond to the intangible yet shared experiential structures within the collective unconscious.
"Intangible Land" differs from geography in the traditional sense; it may be an internal perceptual map or a certain landscape within thought. It exists in the moments that emerge when we stop and close our eyes; it is the gaps at the edges of reality and the map through which we connect with the world.
