2026 Natural Lacquer Foundation Workshop - Spring Session

This course will guide students in learning cloth application and base layer engineering, establishing an understanding of lacquerware structure, while teaching varied coating techniques to comprehend the layering and textural changes of the lacquer surface. During practical sessions, the instructor will explain the theoretical knowledge related to each process step by step, enhancing students' understanding and conceptual use of lacquer materials, encouraging them to think about applications from the essence of the lacquer material. The course also covers the introduction of tool usage, integrating theory and practice, enabling students to master the basic techniques of lacquer art and lay a foundation for further learning.
