Therefore, the collaboration with Paper Windmill Theatre (紙風車劇團) to promote the "Miaoli Art Seed Sowing Project" is entering its 4th year, having cumulatively attracted over 50,000 enthusiastic audience members. From June 19 to August 23, 2026, 7 touring performances will take place, reaching Miaoli City, Cholan Township, Chunang Township, Nanzhuang Township, Yuanli Township, Kungkuan Township, and Houlung Township, allowing more county residents and children to enjoy diverse and wonderful performing arts right at their doorstep.
For 33 years, Paper Windmill Theatre has continued to create imaginative and artistic original works, focusing not only on educational theater but also emphasizing artistic depth and aesthetic expression. Their performance formats are not limited to traditional storytelling theater; they constantly experiment with integrating theater concepts, physical performance, music, visual arts, and diverse artistic elements to provide children with a more varied viewing experience.
The five wonderful performances by Paper Windmill Theatre, diverse in form and content, include: "Wu Ding Sees the World" making its debut in Miaoli, using grand song-and-dance forms to guide children through "Wu Ding" to learn about ancient Egyptian and Indian civilizations; "Wu Ding Travels the World" takes the audience to experience the Belizean forest and mysterious underwater world; "Three Kingdoms Adventure" makes its debut in Miaoli, telling the story of a modern child "Xiao Mao" who travels back in time to the Three Kingdoms era for a historical adventure; "Pauli Goes Home" uses fairy tale theater to teach children about typhoon knowledge; "Sweet Potato Forest Adventure" accompanies children on a fantasy journey with Peter Pan and Captain Hook, opening up diverse and rich artistic horizons for the children of Miaoli.
