[Yeh Shih-tao (葉石濤) Literature Salon Lecture] Wang Yu-hua (王幼華) "How Did Yeh Lao Encourage and Nurture Literary Successors?"

Date: 2026-06-13 Organizer: 王幼華
June [Yeh Shih-tao (葉石濤) Literature Salon Lecture]
Invites Teacher Wang Yu-hua (王幼華), author of works such as 'Land and Soul,' 'The Restless Island,' 'Contemporary Literary Criticism Collection,' and 'Sickness Becomes a Pearl – Discussions on Ancient and Modern Writers,' to chat with us about "How did Yeh Lao encourage and nurture literary successors?" discussing how Yeh Shih-tao (葉石濤) used literary criticism to encourage a new generation of Taiwanese literary writers.
Wang Yu-hua (王幼華), winner of the Fifth Yeh Shih-tao (葉石濤) Short Story Literary Award, had his first novel 'The Tale of Two Towns,' which takes his birthplace Miaoli as a starting point to describe the evolution of two towns, Chunan and Toufen, from the 1970s to 1980s under Taiwan's economic takeoff and political changes, highly praised by Yeh Shih-tao (葉石濤).
Wang Yu-hua (王幼華) has long been concerned with the development of Taiwanese literature, believing that "taking Taiwan as the main subject, objectively researching, organizing, and commenting on the literature itself for all works that have left traces or had an influence on this island, regardless of their race, political orientation, language used, or attitude towards Taiwan, may be a better way."
