Year 115 Liao Sheng-wen (廖勝文) "Lacquer Craft - Jia-zhu Lacquerware" Heritage Workshop

Taught by Liao Sheng-wen (廖勝文), a preserver of the city's traditional craft "Lacquer Craft - Jia-zhu Lacquerware." Participants will practice the production techniques of Jia-zhu lacquerware hands-on, through courses including clay sculpting, cloth pasting, lacquer application, removal of the core, and exterior painting and decoration. Upon completion of the 108-hour course, participants who have not missed more than 3 classes will receive a certificate of study issued by the Taichung City Cultural Heritage Department.
