Wutai Township Office Rukai Cultural Museum 2025 Promotion Education Event—Rooted in the Tribe, Youth Creation for the Future: Genealogy Workshop

Tribal genealogy is an identity certification for cultural inheritance and the foundation connecting the emotions of tribe members. To address the memory gap caused by tribal aging and strengthen horizontal connections between the township office and youth from various tribes, this project aims, through a hands-on workshop, to empower youth with skills for family history investigation and thereby establish a regular dialogue platform to consolidate consensus for tribal development.

Course Content:
I. Genealogy Workshop: Reclaiming Names and Identity
(1) Oral History and Collection Techniques
1. Content: How to communicate with tribal elders, key points for digital audio and video recording.
2. Hands-on: Operation of genealogy drawing software (or hand-drawn family maps).
