Weave Pattern Study Advanced Application Class
This course is an advanced continuation of the 2025 'Weave Pattern Study Class,' taking the participants' existing basic weave pattern abilities as a starting point to further deepen their understanding of weave structure and design capabilities. The course focuses on (1) 'Deepening of Twill Weave,' analyzing and studying the weaves of various ethnic groups; (2) introducing the basic principles and design methods of foreign Tablet Weaving, expanding participants' weave pattern horizons through comparison and practice of cross-cultural weave pattern techniques; (3) indigenous net bag craft (focusing on Yami/Tao net bag techniques) combined with strap design application, inspiring participants to apply innovative thinking to craft creation. The Weave Pattern Study Advanced Application Class emphasizes 'from understanding weave pattern principles to independent innovative design,' combining the cultural context of indigenous woven straps with international weave pattern technology, guiding participants to create translations based on respect for tradition, making weave patterns not only a result of technical learning but also a medium for cultural expression and contemporary creative practice.
