'Wandering Between Mother Stars' Solo Exhibition by Tseng Shih-han (曾詩涵)

'Wandering Between Mother Stars' focuses on the artist Tseng Shih-han's (曾詩涵) important life experiences and spiritual transformation in recent years. Inspiration comes from her 2025 trek to the Everest Base Camp (EBC) in the Himalayas of Nepal and her residency experience on the French island of Corsica the same year. Through layered applications of glue pigment, ink, and mineral pigments, the artist reweaves the relationship between natural landscapes and inner perception.
In recent years, Tseng Shih-han's (曾詩涵) creative practice has gradually shifted from figurative narrative to spiritual exploration. Facing climate changes in high-altitude environments, physical limits, and self-dialogue during the journey, she transforms mountains, rivers, animals, and energy sensations into spiritual traces within the paintings. The works extensively use glue pigment crumpling techniques, combining minerals, new rock, and earth pigments to build up textures resembling rock strata. She also attempts handmade paper creation for the first time, depicting mystical spiritual animal imagery.
Tseng Shih-han (曾詩涵) has collaborated with Apollo Art Gallery for many years, first participating in the Taipei International Contemporary Art Fair Young Art Taipei 2016 (YAT 2016) in 2016, followed by participation in the Apollo Art Gallery's emerging artist growth program 'Yang Tao Pai' in 2017, and continuously participating in exhibitions and art fairs curated by the gallery. This solo exhibition also presents an important stage of the artist's accumulated work over the years, showcasing significant achievements within the long-term collaborative context between the artist and the gallery, inviting viewers into a spiritual journey about nature, life, and inner perception.
